True first edition of The Dark Man and Others by pulp legend Robert E. Howard published by Arkham House in 1963. This book collects a number of short stories which first saw print in the pulps of the 1930’s, especially Weird Tales. The Dark Man and Other is one of 2,029 copies. The book includes the short stories: Introduction by August Derleth, The Voice of El-Lil, Pigeons from Hell, The Dark Man, The Children of the Night, The Dean Remember, The Man on the Ground, The Garden of Fear, The Thing on the Roof, The Hyena, Dig Me No Grave, The Dream Snake, In the Forest of Villefere, and Old Garfield’s Heart. 

The spine ends and corners of book cover have extremely light bumping and rubbing. Black cloth covered board have gilt lettering to spine of book. Text pages are clean and bright. End papers are a plain grey cover Top spine end has beginning nicking and one tiny chip missing. There is some beginning generalized rubbing and edge wear, but overall, the dust jacket is in wonderful condition.
