BIG Events at EC: Tickets and the Telegram app!
We use tickets and the Telegram Messenger app for our biggest events, to make them easier and safer for everyone involved! How it works:
- Come to the store to get your free ticket, which is just your number in line (1 ticket per group of family/friends). Tickets will usually be available in-store starting at 11am the Saturday before the signing, through the day of the signing. Please note: a ticket does not guarantee a chance to meet our Special Guest – we estimate there will be enough time to accommodate up to 100 groups for an average signing (or a bit more if our Special Guest is able to stay later). We will announce the final ticket number for which there is time, near the end of the event.
- You will need to install the Telegram Messenger app and join the chat “ECyyyymmdd” (where “yyyymmdd” is the year and month and day of the event; “EC20210605” for example) to look for your group’s ticket number to be called. You can install the app using these links:
- The EC Team will use the app to call out to the Telegram group what ticket number is coming up (once you are 10 spots away, make sure you are in your car in the parking lot; once you are 5 spots away, come to the door to be ready to enter). Please do not park in the lot or enter the store until your number is around 10 away from the current ticket called, so that there is enough space for the Guests who have been called in already.
Our little parking lot fills up QUICKLY during a big event! The big circle on this overhead map is the best place to park on a Saturday or Sunday, across 113th Avenue and just a bit down the street. If the lots are full (or on a weekday), please park along the sides of the road, avoiding entrances and mailboxes. DO NOT park in the grass of other businesses, please (you can park in the grass on our property!).
