“Justin’s Jabber” – Back Issue Comics! 8/9/17

I’m sure we’ve all seen the photos of Josh Brolin as Cable and ummm … whats’er name … (references Google) … Zazie Beetz (wow, that’s a really cool sounding name! I wish my name had three Z’s in it. My name doesn’t have ANY Z’s in it!) as Domino from the upcoming Deadpool sequel.

First of all, stop tripping out about the filmic Domino not being pasty white with a weird black oval around her left eye. Movie Domino looks cool! She looks like a back-up singer for Sly and the Family Stone, which is a very cool look.

Secondly, Josh Brolin looks like the baddest dude to ever decide to be bad. Josh Brolin gets to be Thanos AND Cable AND the dude from No Country For Old Men. That’s one bad dude.

Little known fact: Josh Brolin is such a bad dude that he was the inspiration for the 1988 arcade game titled “Bad Dudes” (titled “Dragon Ninja” in Japan).

Thirdly, why not come on down to the store and buy some cool Cable and Domino keys?

New Mutants #87, first appearance of Cable, Fine (6.0) condition, $75.

X-Force #8, first appearance of Neena Thurman as Domino in flashback, Very Fine Plus (8.5) condition, $10.

X-Force #11, first appearance of Neena Thurman as Domino in current continuity, Very Fine Plus (8.5) condition, $15.

Yeah, I know Domino first appeared in New Mutants #98, but that was Copycat, not the real Domino.

Besides, I’m all out of copies of New Mutants #98.

Amazing Spider-Man #238, first appearance of Hobgoblin, Near Mint Minus (9.2) condition, $150.

I know that last book doesn’t fit this week’s theme, but it’s a super nice copy of a hot key issue so I wanted everyone to get a look at it.

I mean I’m sure Hobgoblin will probably pop up in a movie eventually; maybe in the Deadpool sequel.
I mean, it’s possible, right? It may not be likely but it’s possible … right?
Which movie studio owns the rights to the Spider-Man properties? It’s so hard to tell who owns what these days….
