“Justin’s Jabber” – Back Issue Comics! 2/6/19

According to Wikipedia, bats are used as food across Asia and the Pacific Rim.

I’m a pretty adventurous eater, but I don’t know that I’d be too keen on consuming the flesh of a bat.

I dunno… maybe… if the bat were cooked well… I guess….

Batman #200, CBCS Verified Signature 8.5 (Very Fine Plus), signed by Neal Adams, $275.

Detective Comics #359, first Barbara Gordon as Batgirl, CGC 7.0 (Very Fine/Fine), $2,000.

Tales of the Teen Titans #44, first appearance of Nightwing, CGC 9.8 (Near Mint/Mint), $395.

Batman #183, second appearance of Poison Ivy, CGC 8.0 (Very Fine), $250.

Okay, I punched “bats as food” into Google, and experts say to avoid eating fruit bats because they accumulate natural plant toxins in their body from some of the fruits that they eat.

Seems as though most other bats are fair game.

Then again, it also says that that bats can carry rabies — so maybe best to just stick to chicken, eh?
