Hola! Que pasa!
We took in a nice Modern Age collection late last week.
Lots of Deadpool and Harley Quinn back issues in there, and we know how much you guys like those!
There was a first appearance of Death in there as well!
(That’s Death the DC character, not Marvel’s skeleton in a purple robe Death, or Death the term used to describe the end of biological life or in the more general sense to illustrate the concept of ceasing to exist.)
We also have ourselves a nice copy of the first appearance of Matt Hagen as Clayface (a.k.a. Clayface Part Deux, Clayface Junior, Clayface the Second, etc.) as well.
We had another copy of this particular book a while back, and it’s sold with great celerity (look it up, that’s one excellent archaic word).
Detective Comics #298, first Matt Hagen as Clayface, CGC graded 6.0 (Fine), $550.
Harley Quinn (volume one) #3, Near Mint Minus (9.2) condition, $20.
Batman & Robin Adventures #8, early Harley Quinn, Near Mint Minus (9.2) condition, $25.
Sandman #8, first appearance of Death, Very Fine Minus (7.5) condition, $30.
Neil Gaiman voiced a cartoon cat on last week’s Simpson’s Treehouse of Horror XXVIII.
The cat was, appropriately enough, a black cat.
It was, after all, a spooky Halloween episode.
It wouldn’t be in keeping with the tradition of Halloween nor Neil Gaiman’s overall image if the cat had been a calico or a Russian Blue or something.
Happy Halloween! Be excellent to one another, or I’m going to break into your house and eat all of your candy!
