“Justin’s Jabber” – Back Issue Comics! 10/4/19

How come there are always female versions of popular male superheroes, but there are never male versions of popular female superheroes?

I’m afraid I’m gonna have to call shenanigans here.

In fact, many of the more popular female superheroes ARE female versions of well established male characters.

I mean, if Jennifer Walters had been the first HULK, wouldn’t Bruce Banner then have to be HE-HULK???

Let’s just move on to this week’s books before the topic under discussion becomes too divisive shall we?

Savage She-Hulk #1, first appearance of She-Hulk, Very Fine Minus (7.5), $150.

Star Wars #1, Very Fine Minus (7.5), $75.

Amazing Spider-Man #122, death of Green Goblin, Very Good Plus (4.5), $100.

Wolverine #66, first appearance of Old Man Logan, Very Fine/Near Mint (9.0), $30.

At least there are usually youthful versions of a lot of the characters who now also have elderly versions.

There’s X-23 who is youthful, regular Wolverine, and then there’s Old Man Logan.

Gotta keep it fair and balanced, you know?
